To be certified as a CMA or CFM, candidates must fulfill both an education requirement and an experience requirement. Verification of one of the following must be presented to complete the education requirement:
- Bachelors Degree, in any area, from an accredited college or university.
- View a partial listing of international accredited institutions accepted without an evaluation. Degrees not from accredited foreign institutions must be evaluated by an independent agency approved by the ICMA (www.naces.org).
- All transcripts must be submitted in English and show the official seal of the college or university.
- Score in the 50th percentile or higher on either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
- Professional qualification comparable to the CPA, CMA, CFM, etc. Including:
The professional credentials listed below qualify as an entrance credential for the CMA/CFM programs. Applicants must arrange to have confirmation of professional credentials sent directly to the ICMA from the certifying organization.
